toshibapdr: UNIX software for the Toshiba PDR-M4/5

toshibapdr is software for interacting with the Toshiba PDR-M4 and Toshiba PDR-M5 digital cameras. These cameras come with Windows and Macintosh software out of the box, but no software for UNIX platforms such as Linux.

The goal of the toshibapdr project is to create

• a command line program for interacting with the camera (downloading images, deleting images, etc.), and
• a driver for GNU gphoto.

• 05/30/2000: I vow to work on the gphoto driver soon. But no promises.
• 02/18/2000: Version 0.2 is available at our FTP site.
• 01/26/2000: There seems to be an intermittent timeout bug. It only happens on some machines. I have a machine here on which I can duplicate this bug. We'll fix it for version 0.2
• 01/25/2000: Version 0.1 is available at our FTP site.
• 01/20/2000: CVS server is open for business. All current code resides there. You can browse the latest CVS commits.

The latest unstable toshibapdr source can be obtained from our CVS development archive with the following steps:

  # cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.toshibapdr.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/toshibapdr login
  # cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.toshibapdr.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/toshibapdr co toshiba
  # cd toshiba
